A sermon on the attitude, motive and discipline of giving for the glory of God. The sermon covers three truths: to show gratitude to God, to support the church, and to be disciplined in giving. It also provides illustrations and biblical references for each truth.
This is the mystery and the miracle of the breakthrough power and presence of God when we worship! When we worship, we affirm the truth of God's Word, and it is being rooted deep in our hearts. The Bible calls this activity "glorifying God" or "giving glory to God," and views it as the ultimate end, and from one point of view, the whole duty of man (Ps. 29:2; 96:6; 1 Cor. 10:31).
