We constructed a calibration curve with serial dilutions of the yellow fever vaccine (live attenuated virus yellow fever vaccine; Fiocruz/Bio-manguinhos; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 4·81 log 10 plaque forming units [PFU] per 0·5 mL) in yellow fever virus RNA-negative human plasma spanning 9 to 9×10 3 PFUs per ml.
History. Yellow fever was a constant blight for eastern American cities — especially southeastern cities — in the 18th and 19th centuries.
